EXCESS BAGGAGE ONCE WE ACQUIRE IT (NOT BY CHOICE!) WHAT DO WE DO WITH IT?
When it comes to relationships both professional & personal! Excess baggage can be a real M-F’er for anyone/everyone. That! is Because when we came into the world. We did not have a manual in tow at all. As we grew up our parents themselves did not know what to do with it. At that time no one ever even heard of it.
So what did we do? We held on to it not knowing what to do. As e got older little did we know that when we did carry it over into our life. That it would do more harm than good.
For example! There was a repot years ago. About a couple of teens that found on the Internet ways to make a pipe bomb. The assembled it. When it was finished! The did not know what to do with it.
That is the exact same way we do with excess baggage! We acquire it! But what do we do with it?
Solution! : ‘LET IT GO”! We cannot let our past interfere with even our professional and personal life. Because in both way. Carryovers do come in the way of the people we meet.
Another example of this is! Let’s say a woman who is doing business with a client/customer. Gets “HIT ON” by her client. Even though! The client does not know that she is in a relationship! She gets “Bent-out-of-shape” about it! There is an old saying: “You cannot get into trouble for something you do not know”! Let’ say because she has been hit on by so many men! That she thinks “They are all are the same”! And what does that make her? “Defensive” towards anyone/everyone who is a man! That! is Excess baggage! If the man did know! Clearly! That is a very different story.
Because of her and her excess baggage. She can burn her business as well as personal bridges before/after they were ever crossed!
Or! In one’s own personal life. Whatever happened then! Is left in then, not now! Unfortunately! Even if one of our family members said/did something to us! Even then! It becomes excess baggage.
What do we do? Let it go! It’s like! If you have a problem. And you say to someone: “This problem is eating away at me”. Guess again! How can a problem eat away at you? It’s invisible!,
With excess baggage. Just let it go. What people said/did to you. Cannot be done over! “REALLY”.
I have did so many things to others as they did to me. But I do not let that get in the way of meeting and making friends and business professionals at all. Why? Because it does not make any sense to hold on to something that you cannot hold in your hands or even reverse the process.
Whatever the problems others have about or against us. The problems are out there! Not in here!
THE GODZILLA OF ALL WORDS “NO!!!!!!”
This! Has got to be the “Mother” of all words! It beats the pants off any SCI-FI flick we ever seen!
In Reality! We use the word! But we have the hardest time accepting it as well. Definition:,http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/no. In our own lives we have a problem with it. In business for example. Anyone going into sales the word itself creates fear & trembling in them.,
Having been in sales! I take the word NO! As in “Not right now” “Perhaps later” If you look at the word NO! It’s a short cut for the word “NOT”! You see where I am coming from on this?,
Let’s stay on this or a while. In sales! One does have to know their product/services extremely well to make an impact/impression the customer/client. When it comes to the product. There is a thing called: “The benefit of the benefit!” You need really to listen to them as they speak. And zero in on what they need & want from you.,
In personal life! It’s easy! When we were growing up! The word was a big downer for us. And it stayed with us into adulthood. And there! It sits. Do we learn about it? “NO!” Do we learn how to handle it? “NO!”
As I said! It beats any SCI-FI movie We seen!
SOCIAL NETWORKS/MEDIAS NOT WHAT YOU MAY THINK!
What I mean by that is!
I am a member of many! Of them.,
I did at one point! Love it! But in due time I have found people who are by their own choice! (Using political correctness ways & means!) injuring me by inflecting me with their: “I am right! &! that is it! You are not going to tell me excrement!” crap! As to what they think are the problems, causes of the world. When I am only here! Reminiscing about days gone by! This idiot! Gets out his DIY soapbox! And tells me what he thinks are the afore said! Clearly! If we were talking economics & politics! Then he may be onto something! But we were not nor where I was about politics & economies at all.,
Granted! I have always said! That when it comes to people who think they know vs. what they do know! Is bigger than space itself! I would much just let them “Rattle & Hum!” Even if they clearly do not know the words!
It is unfortunate! That to these people. There is a difference among “Making a comment vs.passing judgment vs. persecution. They do not know which end is up!
That these people have to in their micro minds! Have to resort to using words that are nowhere to be found at all? But just to make their point! They feel they have to glue labels, names, call something/someone names to get their point across!,
At the very least! Someone either is in need of: a pre-winters nap, back to somewhere among romper room, preschool, or use the Internet to look up the word they are desperate need to make their point or have the one close by just in case!
There is a difference in just reminiscing and making a comment!
If they want to inflict their political & economic diseases! There are many sites out there.
Why be toxic? When one has the Internet to play & infect others with their crap!
The world may never know!
Mindless drivel! Is for the water coolers & coffee klatches! ,Not! Open forums! Open forums are for thought, ops., perceptions, exchanging of ideas, beliefs (If! That is where the topic/subject is headed!).,
SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS, CLAMSHELL CAMERAS, SMART/IPHONE CAMERAS AND OTHER THINGS
So far! I have both seen and heard about the misuse and abuse of portable cameras by their owners!
Let’s take this one at a time.
First! Surveillance cameras! The only thing these devices are really good for! Are for business not so much for the average Joe’s/Josephine’s of the world. These are as good as the people who are hired to monitor them. Or! They make a nice if not strange ornament that does not blend with the scenery at all. Should someone be the victim of a crime. Well! You know!
Clamshell/smart/iPhones! These have built-in cameras. People use and abuse them. They are great for taking selfies, pix of friends, family, loved ones, and events.,
EVENTS? Define it!
Because of our US English language being so watered down! That it can barely keep it’s head above the water and maintain its true definition! The word itself “EVENTS” is misleading. Because of how the device is used.,
In general cell phones are being used to taking pictures or recording a crime in action. Or Taking pictures of people they have heard about in gossip/rumor. I have seen this happen!
People who use public transportation record when there is an incident happening on board. Just so they can see it either on the news or on YouTube! Even people who use social networking sites! Will upload it!
Are we that ” hard up” for attention?
Unfortunately! (Not for us!) Are the ones who use and abuse what is for all to enjoy! Becomes a weapon against us!
There will come a time! When someone will point the cam phone at the wrong person! And find out that they know not what they do! It only takes one! To Ruin it for all!
Perhaps! A rage against the machine is in order?
SOCIAL MEDIA/NETWORKING! THERE SHOULD BE A WARNING AS WITH CIGARETTES!
I swear! There should be a warning at least from the U.S. Surgeon general that social media is harmful to your health, mind, body, soul. If you miss use it! But! What are people really thinking when they use it? Is it their way of becoming the next cyberspace star by posting Who they’re? Where they are? What they are doing & with who? Even on mini-blogs! There have been “Micro wars” started all because something did not like what someone said with, to, for, about whatever!
I have found! That there are people who somehow cannot to this day! Even though they may/may not have a grade school diploma! Still fail to understand/comprehend simple, common sense English! And mistake it for something entirely different. If you were to suggest to someone via social media about what they said! They fly like vultures at you! “How dare you tell me what I can/cannot write/post”? Clearly! That is not what was said! To those people! I wonder what recreational drugs & the method of delivery they use?
Are we that “Mild” in the mind? That we have reached a point in time! Where we cannot even think of using “APATHY”! in our dealings with people?
Two points need to be made here! 1.political correctness! Is nothing more! nothing less! Than a ploy to those around us to “Conform & Comply” as to what those who want others to say & do! 2. common sense! Is still around alive & and well and defined as: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/common%20sense
Keep in mind! Common sense has been around for centuries! It’s the stuff that our parents used to help keep us safe!
There is a history about political correctness but basically! It came from a comic strip! I sure hope that the use of it in the comic strip was funner than the crap that’s going around today!
