Somebody Has to Say It!

In this world! I do find from time to time a nugget of something that either we may take for granted! Or there are times when a thought goes/runs through our minds about something that we somehow believe is true but! Just not that sure about it!

In comes me! Now! I am in no way! Boating/bragging about me at all. It’s just that I would have to say that because of the Internet! I can go places see and do things as well as look up stuff! But as I said. I know from talking to people most of my life. Where we both were not all that sure about it.

I thin that the comments, views, opinions I make! Do give people something to think about and be informed as well. And! Is not it what we all looking for? Information and in a way! An entertaining thought along the way? Another way of looking and seeing things from another fellow space traveler?

Like! When the Government shutdown! Whoever the congressman was that had the idea (As you can see! I am not all that into politics!) My first thought was: “Whoever it is thought that this might be a great way to get a foot in the door of the political system!”. As far as that goes! Small minds! You know the rest!

I do think that since one is fair in their thoughts, comments, views, opinions! And yes! Have done their research into whatever! We can take “Political Correctness” Out of commission aka deep six it!

Because all it is really truly doing to us! Is making us petrified of saying what we think feel, believe in anything. And this should not be. This is not how our parents were raised and their parents and so on. And beside! The last time it reared it’s ugly head (The phrase!)! Was in a comic strip!

The phrase itself! Has the wrong definition! The modern day definition of political correctness is: “Conform and comply with what “I” want you to say and do!” But! To these same people who want others to do and be and say what they want us to! If!!! And if! Someone pulled the same “Trick” on them! The response would be: “HOW DARE YOU!” You see what I mean?

And because it! It restricts us from asking, let along knowing what it is that we need to know. Many times! I have taken the first step in asking questions. Only to be laughed at or embarrassed because! “They” themselves would not dare to ask. Do you want that causes? Mistakes mess ups, screw ups, and the hits just keep on coming!!! We learned that! In grade school and our classmates and even our friends! When they tell us stuff like that! Are they really our friends?

Though! I do not put any stock into the Internet and any websites there are! I have always been one to read one or even more websites and books about something or someone.

For example! I am in the process of reading about FDR and Abe Lincoln. Over the years there have been many books about them. And what I do find interesting is. What one does not talk about! Some other Author will.

Another! The original Tylenol scare! At that time I did subscribe to both time and Newsweek. And I found that what time did not cover! Newsweek did and to the same in reverse as well.

The best quote I ever heard was from Tony Brown of PBS’S Tony Brown’s Journal. And at the end of his program. He would give “Words of thought”. My personal favorite briefly: “It’s always best to get more than one side of a story!”

Enough said!

Hitting Your Kids is Legal in All 50 States

Hitting Your Kids is Legal in All 50 States.

Remember the days! When we did something wrong? And we know we did? And got punished for it?

In today’s society and world! The means and method of how to that come into play. For some of us, it was dads belt, paddle (As in school), And yes with some parents the switch. But! Those parents knew when to put the breaks on it! FDR said it best: “The United States Constitution has proved itself the most marvelously elastic compilation of rules of government ever written.”

Franklin D. Roosevelt

And yes! Even our current laws are that way! If you really read the article! Even the 50 states themselves. Are not sure. But something has to be done.
For some kids! When they were growing up! Perhaps their parents did not tell why they got hit by whatever means they deemed necessary. Was it “The punishment fit the crime?” Only the parents now.
It also could be because! When their parents were goring up! Whatever they got. Their kids got when they had them. Thus! The vicious cycle begins. But the problem of child abuse has been kept in hiding for so long. It was not until the 1980’s that it slowly came fourth and was being discussed.
Are our lawmakers really solving problems? Or dancing around them to make sure when election time comes. Their seat will remain warm for them?

I have not had any of them in my life. I think it’s because of the way my parents were brought up. There have been time when I had my favorite stars! But that was it.

I grew up watching a “LOT” of cartoons. And that may has had something to do with it. Each time I saw rin tin tin, the lone ranger, fury, flipper! I got so depressed you would not believe.

But The prime time stars! That was different. Prime time when I was growing up. Was mostly TV programs, some movies, specials.

I did see the bad guys! But I knew it was all make believe. I learned that on my own. I did learn about how crime does not pay, the good guys always win and get the girl (All but me!), Were there any? Heroes and villains and roll models for me? No!

Do we need them even today? No! Because all of them fail in one way or another or at sometime when you least expect it. If we want any of them! We have to look into the past for ,them.

The two great men from the past! Are Abe Lincoln & Franklin Delano Roosevelt. I do have to admire these two men. Because for example! Abe Lincoln when he was growing up. He was in height, 6 feet four inches (1.93 meters). And with his height he was able to do any things other men could not. Plus! Given the fact that he knew that whatever he did there was some money waiting for him afterwards.,

As for FDR! His world was one big observation deck! Nature always held him in awe of her beauty. He was a man that was upright, honesty, outstanding, morals, ethics, common sense and so on.

As I was growing up! I learned from people who I somehow knew they were the one’s that had so much more than I. They have been around they know where they are coming from and you knew it. I could not use them for any kind/type of role models. They came! They went! You develop this sense of IDK! What you would call it. But you knew this was no ordinary person.

The things we said and did as well as the others who said and did things to us as well had an influence on us growing up.

The one’s who made us what we are today! When we least expect it. To those I can say TY!!!!
