DEFINE: “PASSION”!

PASSION!

Is the one word that has many different meanings/definitions/interpretations to a lot of us.

But! Passion is the one word that I found that can separate us from them!

What is it that to some of us gives us that drive to achieve and accomplish things we like/live/love?

 

What is “YOUR” passion?

It can be a whole lot of things!

People, places, things & then some.

The people we like/love that are or have come and gone in and out of our lives.

Places that we have seen in some way book, film, magazine.

Or have been to or would love to be there/live there.

Things! That either drive us crazy!

Or can’t get enough of!

Food, comfort food, candy, decadent pleasures, fruits, liquors, drinks, even people!!!!

 

But! The one thing!

That I think that where I’m coming from is this!

 

The thing!!!!!

That gives us the desire to drive us to do what we want to do is!

Our work! It may seem somehow strange to some people of what I’m talking about!

But to those who do know.

They are the one’s who have the passion & drive to do what is needed in life!

We all in our own way.

Want the things we do to have meaning in our lives.

 

 

This! In itself! Is so very hard to even describe!

But let’s think about what we want to do with our life?

 

When we were so very young!

What did we want to be when we grew up?

Doctor, police person, firefighter, paramedic (this was created long before the word ever was in our lingo!).

 

When I was in the 4th. grade!

The art teacher asked the class: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Everyone in the class drew a picture of what they wanted to be!

But!!!!! Me!!!!!

I drew a picture of me being a D. J.!

When the teacher showed the class my picture!

They ALL! Laughed!

But! The art teacher said: “Now! Wait a minute!”

“This is good!”

I think what he meant was: “There is someone who can think out of the box as to what s/he wants to do with their life!”

 

Do you see where I’m coming from on this?

This! Is what we do with our lives!

Go to school, get good grades, either go to a trade school or continue on through to high school, either find a good paying job, or on to college/university, find something that makes BIG bucks, find someone, get married, raise a family, save for retirement and wait for the grim reaper to come!!!!!!!

 

I define “PASSION” as being your own person.

You have to be.

It’s because of the way too many doomsayers, naysayers the people we know will tell us: “You can’t do  that!”  “That’s not you!”

These people get in the way of what it is that we want to do in our lifetime.

 

Then! It is ever so very true!

That we do live our lives in the shell of what we truly do want to become.

 

Forget the past. Accept your mistakes. Dare to speak the truth. Be honest to your commitment.

 

If you have ever felt such tremendous enthusiasm and desire for something that you would gladly spend all your waking hours working on it, that you would happily do without pay, then you have found your passion.
